LeAnn Brubaker's Pellucid Escapades presents...

Unfolding in eight different venues, i'd rather be Dreaming is an interactive play that invites audience members to explore the dreams of an unnamed dreamer. Based on the popular choose-your-own-adventure-style books, each audience member must make choices which determine the scene they will see next.

As the audience travels through this dream, the dreamer is slowly revealed.  From nightmares to the transcendental, the dreamer’s dreamscapes allow the audience to travel from place to place and take with them a unique experience and a physical reminder of the dreampath they have chosen.  The play culminates in a final party scene where the pieces come together and the dreamer is finally revealed.

i'd rather be Dreaming is a neoteric play.  A team of artists and directors from across America have worked together to give the play unique flare.  Each scene is directed by a pair of directors who have had limited contact with the designers, adding layers and depth to the performance.  This play breaks the fourth wall and insists that the audience create the performance rather than watch it unfold.

The audience is the story being told.

This show will be open to the public August 15th through the 19th, 2008 at 5:30pm. Beginning in Mason Center Park at 3rd and 12th in Durango, CO.

Tickets are $12 General Admission and $10 for students and seniors. Children under 8 get in for free.

The show will proceed rain or shine. And don't forget to wear your walking shoes.
